Production situation
The main production areas are concentrated in China, Japan, South America (Paraguay, Brazil), etc., and no company in Europe has produced stevioside so far.
The basic steps for producing stevioside are similar, and the process differences among manufacturers mainly lie in the later separation and purification steps. The general production process is as follows:
Soak the dried stevia leaves in warm or hot water, extract with ethanol 3~5 times, or use a countercurrent system to extract stevioside → remove suspended particles in the extract by flocculation and precipitation → filter → vacuum concentration → resin adsorption (or ethanol elution) → ion exchange purification → filter again and concentrate the filtrate → spray drying or crystallization purification, ethanol can be used as a crystallization solvent during the crystallization process

Raw material harvest season: first harvest in July and August, second in October
